The International Year One is ideal for students who are looking to:

• Study locally for an extra year and gain university credits to transfer to a full degree;
• Experience an international learning environment and build up a global network of contacts;
• Benefit from smaller class sizes and personalised support before entering university.

Standard Academic Programme: Nine Months

Like the first year of a university degree, students will study a range of topics related to their chosen subject area. Students may also need to study our English for Academic Purposes module.

To be eligible for the International Year One (IYOne) Programme, generally you must have:

• 2 D grades from the NCUK’s “International Foundation Year” (IFY)

or

• 2 D grades at “A level” in related subjects

or

• Scored 24 points or more on the “International Baccalaureate”

or

• A GPA 2.0 first year pass from a 4 year University degree

or

• Other reputable foundation year program certificate

The students who don’t have any of those qualifications might get accepted to International Year One programme if their high school graduation score meets the requirements.  For the complete list of Entry Requirements please click here

For Turkish Students: State High School Diploma (Devlet Lise Diplomasi) with an overall grade of 3.5 (or 60%) or better in all relevant subjects is accepted to apply for the International Year One programme.

English entry requirements;

• IELTS or equivalent (with 5.5 in writing and no less than 5.0 in any single band)

or

• TOEFL IBT or equivalent (no less than 59 point)

or

• an acceptable equivalent of a GCE O level in English at grade C or above

The students who have no IELTS or TOEFL score can still apply to the programme and take PASSWORD English Exam before the start of the programme.

Mesarya Education House accepts English Password Test for international students as part of our English language admission requirements for International Foundation Year and International Year One pathway programmes.
